This couple rocked their session!
They were fun and easy going and a little surprised at the results! They only wanted a few shots at keepsakes! We got more than they anticipated! We had so much fun talking about sessions, babies and families…and Ryan Reynolds 😉
J & R are expecting twins in a short 8 weeks. The sex of the babies are a surprise and Mommy and Daddy are super excited – and so am I! I can’t wait to meet these two wee ones when they arrive! It’s going to be a lifestyle session!
My guess – girls.
We did a few in studio and then headed outdoors. It was a warm (only -5) day. We trekked through a ditch to get to the beautiful pine trees then headed down the road to a neighbours house for the log shots. When I came home I couldn’t stop editing. I had so many favorites. Below ore J & R’s favs. Enjoy.
J messaged me in November to book her February session. She had posted on a mommy of twins board looking for a newborn photographer. She told me that I was the most referred (warm my heart – thanks to my wonderful referring clients). It always amazes me how many people pass on my name. I thank you all for that. I truly appreciate it!

This little darling is close to my heart. She’s my husband’s youngest niece. Miss A has an older sister who just adores her. The two are a sweet little pair.
Miss A has beautiful brown eyes and quite the personality – a bit like her Dad! We did her first birthday photos in her pretty little tu tu and then stripped her down to a diaper cover and pearls!
This was a quick birthday shoot because she wasn’t quite feeling like herself. I think we got some pretty cute shots.
A lot of times parents try to have kids look at the camera so we can get the child looking directly at me or at my camera. But sometimes, I just love how leaving them alone and capturing them play with something that intrigues them (in this case pearls), can just make a beautiful, quiet photo.
Happy Cake Day Miss A. We Love you!
I have 3 little boys of my own and a step son. My household has A LOT of testosterone! Those who know me, know I’m a girlie girl. If I had a baby girl I would spend a lot of money on pretty dresses and hair pieces. She would go to ballet classes and wear lots of pink. So needless to say, when I know I’m going to photograph a little girl, I get a little bit excited!!
Miss Seraphina has 3 older siblings. A sister and twin brothers. Momma has her hands full. The day that I went to Kitchener to meet her Momma warned me that she had very little sleep. This wee one just wanted to eat every single hour! Sigh, I don’t miss those days! I told Momma to go take a nap if she wanted and leave her little sweetheart with me. She proved to still be hungry and gave us a little bit of stress at the beginning of her shoot. So we fed her, and fed her some more, and some more….and finally she fell asleep!
She was so easy to work with once we got her to sleep. I was able to use some of my new props and some of my older ones too. Here is a headband one of my clients gave me a few years ago, I finally found a blanket to match it.
We had a wonderful session and we got some great shots. Thank you Mom and Dad for choosing me to capture your sweet new addition. I hope you are getting a little more sleep. She just can’t miss out on all the action of her siblings
Look at those sweet little lips! Sigh!
Feel free to leave comments for Momma and share and like on FB or other social media.
Master D was the sweetest little guy. A head full of jet black hair, beautiful tanned skin and such a relaxed personality.
I met Master D’s mom a few years ago when she was pregnant with her beautiful little girl. When Momma contacted me to ask me if I would be willing to drive to Guelph, I was more than thrilled. The email came in the Master D had arrived and was a beautiful 7 lb baby boy!
Master D was swaddled in a little blanket and fast asleep when I arrived. As per usual we stripped him down to his birthday suit. Momma and Daddy stated I was pretty brave. And although I usually do get “sprinkled” on, I’ve never had it happen BEFORE I shoot! I was having my moment of cuddles with Master D, when I felt the warm fluid flow down my white clean shirt. Everyone had a good giggle!
Master D has the silkiest jet black hair! Surprisingly enough, Momma didn’t have much heartburn. He was the most relaxed baby too! Half the time I didn’t have to hold his hands down on his chest. Most of the photos of his hands together were set up by HIM! I love a relaxed baby! He was awesome to photograph!
His sister was eager to hold him and we got quite a few photos of the proud big sister with her little brother! Sweetness!!
Thank you Momma and Daddy for allowing me to capture your sweet little man. It was wonderful seeing you again and seeing the sparkle in your eyes as you talked about your growing family.
This is Bella. Also known to her Momma and Daddy as Bella Bee.
Bella’s parents have been coming to me for the last 6 years. I met Jess at a prenatal fitness class she was attending. We hit it off and I’ve been capturing her beautiful family ever since. Bella’s family is one of my loyal clients. Her older sisters call me auntie Zelia (I love it). I’ve captured Jess’ belly with Mia, then her 4 girls (that’s right FOUR), at the newborn stage, the 6 months stage and at one year.
This family chatted about me on the way to the new studio. They came from an hour away. While they drove Dad realized this was the last photo shoot they had planned! When will we see Zelia again? It brought tears to my eyes at the thought that there were no more babies for this family and our regular yearly photos were finished. I’ve suggested we do yearly family pics so we can see each other because everyone was so disappointed in the thought of “being done”.
Here are Bella Bee’s 1 year photos. She, like 3 of her other sisters, was not impressed by the cake!
Happy Birthday Bella!!
